Hi Friends!
It’s that time of year again for our participation in Smilow Yale Closer to Free charity ride. This year’s ride will take place September 7th. We will be riding 65 miles through southern CT and along the coast of Rhode Island. Julie, Seth and I have been riding in this event since 2021. Our small team has made a huge impact, raising over $165,000 in just three rides.
We have set our sights on breaking $200,000 this year in total funds raised but have a lot of work to do!
Why do we do this? Here is a little history. In 2021, my wife Nina and I created Team Ready.Set.Beaux! to support our daughter, Isabeaux, as she fought Neuroblastoma stage 4s. Here fight began at one month old. After countless hospital trips, overnights and five rounds of chemo, she is on her way to cancer free future. Now three years post chemo Beaux is doing great! Our most recent August scans and blood work came back wonderfully! Her journey is far from over but it’s heading in the right direction. We continue our fundraising efforts to support the hospital that gave her a chance at life and to support those still fighting their everyday battles. This effort to help will never stop until there is a cure.
We ask that if you have interest in supporting us, "Ready.Set.Beaux!" and Closer to Free please consider clicking the link below and making a donation. If you would like to support one of the riders individually, find them under the “Roster” button of Team Ready.Set.Beaux!’s page.
Please stay tuned for post ride and fundraising results! Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and consideration. Together we can help create a cancer-free future!
